Our assortment covers the production of aircraft furniture and upholstery, aircraft seat covers, aircraft carpets, safety belts, thermal and acoustic insulation blankets, baggage and cargo nets, evacuation slides, life vests, cabin curtains and parachute assemblies. We supply both OEM production and MRO and retrofit programs, from commercial aircraft and business jets to rotorcraft and eVTOL. High performance aviation threads
- Meta aramid threads (brands such as Nomex®, Teijinconex®): inherently flame resistant, does not melt, heat resistant up to 370 °C
- Para aramid thread (brands such as Kevlar®, Twaron®): inherently flame resistant up to 450 °C, very high tenacity
- PTFE sewing thread (brands such as Teflon®): chemical resistant, does not burn, continuous use up to 260 °C
- UHMWPE thread (brands such as Dyneema®, ): highest strength to weight ratio
- Nylon PA66 and polyester thread: bonded and soft finish
Thread sizes
Available in all common sizes. including Tex 40, Tex 70, Tex 90 and Tex 135 (US sizes (size 69, size 92, size 138) for general sewing, and Tex 554 and T600 for carpet applications. Ticket numbers (Tkt) and Nm are also available in our datasheets.
Compliance and standards
- Our aviation thread range is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 and is REACH and RoHS compliant as standard.
- Flammability: threads that meet FAR 25.853 / CS 25.853 requirements.
- Military and federal specifications: para aramid thread to A-A-55220 (superseding MIL-T-87128) and A-A-55195, meta aramid thread to A-A-50195 nylon thread to A-A-59826 (superseding V-T-295E), polyester thread to A-A-59963 (superseding V-T-285F), and A-A-55217
- Thread engineered to meet the material requirements of major aircraft manufacturers, such as Boeing, Airbus and Embraer. Contact us to discuss your specific request.
- On request we supply a certificate of conformity (CoC) with all our products.
